Differebt body types are ment to master different activities. One of the many reasons why Michael Phelps was able to bag eight gold medals at Beijing 2008 is because his build is perfect for swimming. Every body has a different composition. Moreover it also depends on what you enjoy doing the most. Some have a natural inclination towards running ,while others prefer weight lifting. Knowing your interests and bodytype better will help you chart out the perfect workout plan that will go a long way in achieving a perfect physique.

Focus on nutrition

You may not be able to dedicate as much time on your body as athlete.Missing out on workouts may be an everyday affair. After all, you have many other important things to attend to. However the least you can do is pay ample attention to your diet, be it winning a medal in the olympics, or succeeding in the office enviornment. Your body follows the logic of any other machine. The right fuel results in the right physique. Also eat healthy products instead of going crazy over calorie count. You may have heard it upteen times, but yes, including more fruits, greens and lean proteins is the secret of good health.

Also, if your diet is rich in sugar, make sure you give your body enough exercise. Reason being that sugar is metabolised far more quickly and hence,lack of exercise leads to direct weight gain.

Eat Frequently

Having five to six small meals during the day has many benefits. Firstly, it increases the body’s metabolism,which means you will be burning far more calories.Also, this does not give your body an opportunity to store calories. For example, recent reports how all of them have many small meals throughout the day and also make sure their diet is rich in protine so as to increase their lean muscle mass. see that your diet has the right mix of proteins and carbohydrates.

Good health and fit body have more to do with how you look and feel rather than achiving a number on the weighing scale. For example, you may be looking at losing weight but are depressed as the scale figure has not gone much. However,it may be because while you have lost fat on one hand, you have also built muscle mass (which is heavier than fat) alongside. Hence, while you may get on the weighing scale everyday to check results, along glance at the mirror. Chances are , you will be delighted, which will motivate you even further.

Drink plenty of water.

This definitely doesn’t mean that you overdo it. The point is never to let your feel dehydrated.Studies have confirmed that even a small amounts of fluid loss can affect the body’s performance and even disturb its blood circulation. You may be working out hours in the gym but without adequate water supply, your body will still feel weak and tried and in the long run, interfere with your aim of achiving that Olympians physique.

Ease into exercises

You may be an expert in running on the treadmill and now, are planning to include cycling and swimming as well in your exercise regime.Though you have a good endurance level when running, you may find it difficult to mirror the performance with other exercises.A different exercise challenges your muscle groups in a different manner.You may not be ready for the sport-the Key is to go slow and master it gradually.

Vary your activities.

Varying the activity not only trains different parts of the body, but also helps you to deal with boredome that often sets in when you contain with a single exercise regime for a long period.
